Okay, so I know that I am way behind on my blog but other things have been more important. Still no pictures. I have a ton but haven't had a chance to put them on the computer or on my blog. First it was a new baby, then we were out of town for family reunions, and then we will be moving before the months out, so it will probably be a little bit.
On June 30, 2009, we had our baby... a GIRL! Maizy Pulsipher was born at 7:44 pm and weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 17 inches long. At her 1 week appointment, Maizy was 19 1/2 inches long, so more than likely they miss measured at the hospital. I wasn't due until July 5th, but my doctor was going out of town for the weekend, so he left it up to me to be induced or wait and go on my own. It was only 5 days early so we decided to go in and be induced. I was dilated to a 3 when I went in, so he said I would have had her before he got back in town. My delivery went well. I was given pitocin starting at 9 am, they broke my water at 1 pm, I had my epidural at 3 pm and Maizy was born at 7:44 pm. Her cord was wrapped around her neck and she was a little blue so that was scary. We have a healthy and beautiful baby girl. She had jaundice and had to wear a billie blanket for 6 days and get her blood tested 5 times... her poor little feet! Thankfully, that's all over with and she is healthy again!
Kaylee loves her sister and kisses and hugs her... sometimes too much. She wants to hold her and carry her. She is my big helper and gets me Maizy's diapers and other things... if it has to do with Maizy, she is willing to help. Kaylee has adjusted really well, perhaps because we have been spoiled and had grandma and/or grandpa around a lot. There have only been a few times that she wants me to hold her and only her. Usually she is okay to sit on my lap with Maizy. She mimics us while we are talking to Maizy. It's really cute. Kaylee is talking so much and can be a little bossy. She tells us to "stand right here" and knows exactly what she wants. Still no success with the potty. She is stubborn and does things in her own time. If she wants to go potty, she will go, but it has to be her idea. When she came to the hospital to see Maizy, she said, "Baby, potty." We told her the baby was too little to go potty so she said, "Show you how" and went in and went. I was hoping that would be the end and she would be potty trained, but of course, it's not that easy! I keep thinking that I need to do better and just get it done. Now, we are going to be moving so I think we will do it after we move. I'm afraid the change might make her regress.
We moved when Kaylee was 2 days old to Payson from Flagstaff. Now, we will be moving when Maizy is 7 weeks old to Flagstaff from Payson. No, we didn't plan it that way and don't enjoy moving with a new baby!! Yes, we are going to be moving back to Flagstaff. It's been almost 10 months since Kris was laid off. With few job openings for new civil engineers, it's hard to find a job. So, we have decided to go back to school. Kris is going to be doing his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. It will only take a year and a half, if everything goes as planned. Then, it will give him the option to work in either field. We have decided to try and rent our house so hopefully we can find someone good that will take care of the house. Only time will tell. Everything has worked out up to this point, so I'm sure things will continue to work out. We are truly blessed. Things haven't been easy but we have learned and grown from our experiences. Well, that's all for now. I will try to post pictures in the near future but we'll just have to see how things go!

Still no pictures... but we're alive!
It's amazing how busy you can be when you stay at home, especially when both of us are at home. This week has been crazy and we've been running everywhere, but I thought I would take a second to update... Still no pictures... I've figured out my camera and put them on the computer but don't have the time to put them on yet. Lame, I know.
We have been endlessly searching for a new job but still have had no success. Kris applied to Graduate School at NAU and was accepted for Mechanical Engineering. School starts in August so at least now we have an option. So, rather than just sitting around and waiting for a job, we may be headed back to Flagstaff. Nothing is certain yet, but it's an option. That of course means we have to make some decisions: school, to rent or sale our house, where to live...
I am getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. I don't feel like I've gained a ton of weight, but I'm up to 42 pounds with 5 1/2 weeks still to go... or probably longer since I was a week over with Kaylee. If only the weight would just fall off once the baby is born... yeah right! The important thing is that the baby and I are both healthy. I only gained 24 pounds with Kaylee and I felt like I gained the weight everywhere. This time, I don't feel like it's everywhere and I can't believe I've gained that much. My doctor said it's a little high but he isn't really worried about it.
Kaylee turned 2 on the 24th of May. I can't believe how fast time goes. She is a stubborn but cute little girl that we love! We just had her pictures taken at Walmart, so in a few weeks, I will try to post them. She has so much personality. I was at the doctor today and walked in to see Kaylee cutting Kaden's hair (a little boy that I watch). Thankfully, you couldn't tell even though she took about an inch off on top in a spot. His mom just laughed! She can put on her shoes and socks, buckle herself in her carseat, open the fridge, talk, count to 10, and much more. She's just not my little baby anymore. She's excited to be a big sister and always says that she's my helper.
We've gone to: Flagstaff for NAU graduation for my sister Adrianna, to Safford for my cousin's baptism, to Queen Creek for my cousin's baby's blessing, to Mesa for my cousin's wedding, and are going to Mesa for another cousin's wedding and then to Flagstaff for the reception. We plan to go camping on the rim with my grandparents for a couple of days and camping with Kris' family for a week or two. Kris has been working on the yard and trying to get our fence finished. I go to endless doctor appointments which are only going to increase since I only have 5 1/2 weeks left, but who's counting! We've been trying to go through boxes that we haven't opened or needed for the past 2 years... just in case we move. We don't need to move them to let them sit for more years. I've still been babysitting and will probably until the end of June.
So, it doesn't seem like we're that busy but I really just can't figure out where all the time goes... I guess to running errands, our church callings, home and visiting teaching, trying to make decisions, doctor appointments, park day, story time at the library, grocery shopping, baths, meals, chores... okay, it's not so hard to see.
Anyways, we are doing well and continually thank Heavenly Father for blessing us during these hard times. We truly have so much to be thankful for... things that we often take for granted mean so much more to us now! Thank you all for your love and support.

Recent Happenings
I realized that it's been a while since I blogged but I've been so busy. I just don't know where all my time has gone. I can't believe March is already over!
Well, I guess when I want a new calling, I just have to post my current calling on my blog and it will change the next week. HaHa! I did get a new calling though and I am very excited about it. I am now the 2nd Counselor in the Young Women Presidency. I was pretty overwhelmed at first and sometime still am (since I haven't been in YW since I was in YWs), but it has been great so far. It's fun to get to interact with the Beehives. Our ward has tons of boys but not very many active girls... except for the Beehives. I have 8 active girls with very different personalities. It will be interesting to plan activities for them, but I'm excited for the challenge.
Kris was finally released as the financial clerk in the ward and now just has the one calling of being the 2nd Counselor in the Elders Quorum. I wasn't too sure why we were both given new callings when we don't know how long we will be in Payson, but obviously, the Lord has His reasons and we are still here.
As far as the job search goes, we haven't had any success. Thank you to those of you who keep your eyes and ears open for us for possible jobs. It's really nice to know so many people are trying to help us. We are still looking, praying, and waiting to see what the Lord wants us to do. We have been fortunate and been able to go to the Temple 3 months in a row. My dad and Katelyn watched Kaylee one time, Shauna and Katelyn watched her another time, and then Kris' mom watched her the third time. It's nice to be able to go and really feel the Spirit. We have thought about many different things, but still haven't made a definite decision.
After 5 months of being unemployed, it still amazes me that we have been able to make ends meet. I know it is because Heavenly Father is looking out for us and blessing us. Kris and I have discussed many options, including going back to school so he can work on his Masters Degree. He applied to the masters program at NAU and we are waiting to hear back from them. He would be doing a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. It's about 36 credits, I think, and would take him probably a year and a half to do. He is currently a Civil Engineer but as he has looked for jobs, he has found various openings in Mechanical Engineering, which seems to be less affected by the economy. So, that's an option that we are considering, but don't know for sure what to do yet. School wouldn't start until August, so if a job comes up between now and then, we'll have to consider that.
Then, of course, we have our house that we are trying to decide if we should try to rent, sell, or what. If it wasn't for our house, it seems like it would be much easier to pack up and go back to school or whatever. However, we know that everything will work out and our answers will come in the Lord's time.
Kaylee is growing so much and quickly approaching the age of 2 (in May). She is quite a stubborn little girl, but that's how children have to be in the world that we live in. She's such a joy in our lives and makes us laugh. She is learning to talk so much better and is putting phrases together. She was doing so well with the potty training but the last week has decided that she doesn't really want anything to do with it... I think because it interrupts her playing. At the same time though, she hates her diaper to be wet or stinky and tells me right after she goes and wants to be changed. So, I think that it will just click one day and she will be done with diapers. She loves her baby doll and carries it around everywhere... or pushes her in the doll stroller or carries her in the doll car seat. She loves on her baby doll and wants to hold every baby that she sees. She also says that everyone has a baby in their tummy, including herself. I think she will be a great sister and is excited for the baby to come.
Speaking of baby, we didn't find out the gender of the baby. I know, I know... but that's just how we like to do things. It's fun not finding out until we can see and hold the baby for ourselves. I had 2 ultrasounds within 2 days of each other. The office in Payson said they probably wouldn't be able to tell because the baby was breech and sitting cross-legged. She didn't even look to see. Then, I went to the valley to a specialist (since my Dr. thought my thyroid was low but everything was fine). Anyways, they did another ultrasound and told us to close our eyes so she could look and see the baby's gender. Kris watched while they looked to see what the baby was but had no idea what he was looking at... black, white, and grey. I told him that could have been interesting if he knew and I didn't. He said if he could figure it out then he deserved to know. Anyways, we are excited for our little baby to arrive in July. I'm really not looking forward to being pregnant in the heat, as I'm already hot so much and it's only in the 60s and March.

News and More...
Well, the news is out... baby #2 is on the way and set to arrive on July 5th (or there abouts)! I am 17 weeks along and feeling pretty good. Fortunately, with Kaylee and so far with this baby, my pregnancies really aren't too bad. I did have a little nauseau, heartburn, and dizziness, but have mostly just been tired. We were in between insurances, with Kris being laid off and AHCCCS taking forever, so I didn't go in to see the doctor until I was 15 weeks, on January 12th. Everything looks great, so we finally could tell our news! I was about 1 month when we found out that Kris had been laid off. We had felt it was time to have another baby and prayed and it felt right. I don't know why with the timing of Kris being laid off, but we are confident that everything will work out.
We have seen many blessings in our lives during this trial. Somehow, certainly with the help of Heavenly Father, we have been able to make ends meet and haven't really had to ask for help. Our families have stepped in several times and offered help in various ways. We are truely blessed. We still don't have any real prospects for jobs, but Kris continues to work at finding a job. We heard back from a job in Prescott so hopefully Kris will have an interview with them in the near future. We know that Heavenly Father is blessing our lives and looking out for us. Everything will work out in time. We just keep praying that we will know what we're supposed to do when that time comes!
Kris is staying busy at church. He is the ward financial clerk and the 2nd counsler in the Elders Quorum. Kaylee and I don't see too much of him on Sundays. We have liked having him around at home a lot more, if only it was under different circumstances! He has been working on finishing our fence in our backyard and looking for jobs, of course. I am still in Primary, where I have been since moving back to Payson. I am the CTR 7 teacher. My class was quite large and busy last year, but this year I have 3 girls and 1 boy... it's amazing how different the lessons are. Kaylee is in nursery and loves it! She is trying to potty train and does quite well, on most days. We still have a lot of work to do, but it's a start. We also moved her to a toddler bed, but I'm still not sure if she is ready for that. She gets up quite a few times during the night and comes into our room. It's really wearing on me, so I think we might put her back in her crib and try again in a month or so.
I am still babysitting but not as many kids as I had to start. I am down to 2 kids, but mostly just 1. I have Danica, who just turned 1, Tuesday thru Thursday. She is really good and reminds me a lot of Kaylee when she was that age. I have Kaden, who just turned 2, at various times and days during the week, but not very often. This week, I really haven't watched kids so it's been kind of a nice breather. I have had more time to spend with Kaylee and play with her. She's liked having mom all to herself, but also misses having friends to play with.
Well, I think that's about it for now. I'll try to update and add some pictures in the future. Life has kept us busy. I haven't had nap time to do the things I need to or want to, because I have been taking naps myself, which is also good. Anyways, we hope all is well with each of you and wish you the best. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers in our behalf. We can feel how much of a difference it makes and know that we are loved!

It was quite different to see but very neat too. You can see so many bones because the baby doesn't have too much fat on it yet. It's amazing what technology is available now. The second picture is a frontal view where you can see the head and body and also the little arms and legs. The 6th picture is the baby curled in a ball and you can see the spine. The other 4 pictures are the 3-D ones.

Phoenix Zoo
While Dad, Grandpa Pulsipher, and Uncle Toby were hunting, the women decided to take the kids to the Phoenix Zoo for the day. Aunt Becky has a pass so we went and had a good time. Thanks, Aunt Becky! We ate lunch, thanks Grandma, and then started walking around. It was fun to watch the kids and their reactions to the animals and to let them play for a little while, too. It was also nice to get out of the house, since I seem to be stuck at home a lot... with babysitting and Kris hunting on the weekends for 10 days or so in November.

I don't know why but giraffes are just so majestic looking when they run. It was so cool!
Kaylee's friend, Boston, was at the zoo so we stopped to visit a few times when we saw them.
It was a fun day at the zoo! Thankfully it was nice weather, too... not too hot and not too cold. Thanks Grandma and Aunt Becky. It was fun to see everyone and to watch the kids play with each other and get excited about the animals!
Kaylee and her Baby
Kaylee loves baby dolls. On this particular day, she had found the baby pack and wanted to wear it. The funny thing is that I can still put her in it, so it was a little difficult to get it small enough where she could put her baby in it and not fall in the process. She walked around with it on for quite a while. She is so much fun! She comes up with the funniest things to do. One night Kris and I were watching a movie and she was playing in the car seat in the living room. She figured out how to unsnap her pajamas, took them off, stood in the middle of the floor with her arms stretched out to the side, and said "TaDa!" It was just so cute and funny, too. She is growing so fast. She is now in nursery and loves it. She walks in and starts playing and doesn't even care that mom and dad aren't there. Anyways...
This was the first picture that I took and she was biting her baby on the head. It was just at the right level for her. Silly girl!

Halloween
Our day seemed to slip by us and I ended up taking some pictures of Kaylee while we were waiting for Katelyn (my youngest sister) to be done with volleyball practice. Then, we rushed off to the church for the Halloween Carnival and then to the park for the Trunk-or-Treat. I forgot to take any more pictures. Our friends that we hung out with that night took some pictures so I'll have to get a copy of them. Kaylee was the cutest pirate! I didn't think she would leave the hat on, but to my surprise, she only took it off a couple of times. She had a blast and wanted to eat the candy as fast as she could get it. Kris was gone hunting but we still had fun!
Update
So, nothing has really changed in our lives yet. We are still endlessly searching for a new job. Kris spends a lot of time on the computer and we are hoping that we will get an offer somewhere. It's hard not being able to go to the companies and talk to them about the job he applies for. He posts his resume, fills out applications, and waits. Kris doesn't particularly like to be on the phone, so the follow-up has been difficult. I told Kris that this has become a trial of my patience more than anything else. It's hard not knowing when or where we will be moving, what we're supposed to do with our house, and where our next pay check will come from.
Fortunately, Kris was called by a client at Tetra Tech and has been working for a couple of weeks. Since Kris was the one that had been working on his project, the client went in and talked to the boss and asked him if Kris could finish the project for him. The boss said that would be fine as long as the client paid Kris, since he couldn't put him back on the payroll (since corporate had just laid him off). So, we have been blessed so far. Between paid time off, severance pay, this temporary project, and odds-and-ends jobs, we have received a paycheck regularly, even though Kris was laid off a month ago.
I know that everything will work out. Heavenly Father will not give us anything that we can't overcome. Thank you all for your comments, your thoughts, and your prayers. So many people have called us and kept their ears open for us. Thank you! We know that we couldn't make it through this without the support of our family and friends. We love you all and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas season. It's such a wonderful time of year that we can enjoy. I am really trying to focus my thoughts on the good things that surround us and not to dwell on our hardships. We hope all is well with each of you and wish you the best during this special Christmas season.

Hard Times
Kris and I are asking for your prayers and support in our behalf. On Sunday, we were told that Kris was laid off on Friday (by someone at church!!- I'll tell you that story in a minute...) It's not because he wasn't doing a good job but because there is a shortage of development in our area (which is what Kris works with being a Civil Engineer in Training). So, he being the newest to the company, was let go. There were also 4 other people laid off too. It's just a hard time for a lot of people. So, much to our surprise, we now have no income, a house payment, and other bills. Basically everything is up in the air and the only way we are going to get through all of this is with your prayers and trust that the Lord will take care of us. It's all happening for a reason, we just don't know why. For some reason we're not supposed to be in Payson anymore. Kris is going to be doing some job searching and hopefully we can find something fast. Since Kris and my dad were hunting, I called my home teacher and he and a good friend came to give me a blessing. In the blessing he said that we would come to understand the true meaning of Zion and rely on the Saints. He also said that we would know very clearly the things that we would need to do. I felt such comfort as he blessed me.... but it's still a really hard thing! Please pray for us that we can be led to where the Lord wants us to go and that Kris can find a job s0 we can take care of our little family.
I don't think that Kaylee has ever seen my cry before but the tears just don't stop right now. She kept coming up to me and wiping my tears and giving me hugs and kisses. She knows that something is wrong, but isn't old enough to understand what. It was such a comfort to me but also a heartache since I don't know how we can give her what she needs right now. Both my parents and Kris' parents have assured us that we won't go hungry and are welcome in their homes. I am so grateful for families and the love and support that is there.
So, this is the worst way to find out that you were laid off from your job... On Sunday, after Stake Conference, a member of the ward came and asked my mom how Kris and I were doing. She said that we were fine and he was a little confused by that remark... He asked how we were since Kris lost his job on Friday. My mom was very surprised by his question and said that Kris was out of town hunting for the weekend and he left on Wednesday and we weren't aware of him losing his job. The brother (#1) was asking out of concern for our family but was surprised that we didn't know about it. My mom called me over and told me what the brother (#1) had said. In the meantime, the brother (#1) went and got another brother (#2), that had apparently told him (#1) about Kris being laid off. He (#2) just looked at me and really couldn't say anything. (My mom talked to him (#2) later and he said that he didn't know what had been said so he didn't want to say anything.) Apparently, when Tetra Tech lays someone off, they call the Civil Engineer from the Town (brother #2) so that he knows that people aren't with the company anymore. Then, Tetra Tech also emails the town employees that work hand in hand with the company to tell them the same information (brother #1). So, since they had been contacted, they just assumed that the employees that were laid off were contacted as well, which is how is should happen! But since Kris was out of town, he had no idea what was going on. So, I tried to compose myself but burst into tears. We went out to my car and I got out the phonebook. I called 3 people that Kris works with and couldn't get a hold of any of them. So, I called Kris but his phone went straight to voicemail. Where they are hunting (down by Safford) there isn't any signal. My mom called my dad and Kris was with him. Apparently they had gone into town the night before to stay with Grannie and Grandpa Curtis and then go to Stake Conference. I told Kris what I had been told and told him that he needed to call his boss and then call me back. He called his boss who said that the information was true but he wasn't sure how the information got out. Kris has to go and talk to him when he comes home on Tuesday. I think we will get severance pay for 2 weeks and then the paid time off that Kris has accumulated which should be about a week. So, 3 more weeks of pay and then what?? Hopefully, we can find a job and someone to rent our house before that. We could try to sell it but with the market being down right now, we couldn't get what we owe. I'm not even sure we can rent it to cover our mortgage, but I'll be happy if we can rent it for the majority of the payment. Only time will tell what will happen. I have been babysitting so I do have that income, but it's not much at all. Anyways, enough rambling. Please just prayer for us!! We appreciate every one's love and support.
Little did I know how directly Stake Conference and President Packer's talk applied to us. His very last comment was "...gather your families around you and prepare for the difficulties ahead..." or something to that affect. I just didn't expect it to be that soon! I know that we will get through this and be stronger because of our experience. I know Heavenly Father's hand is in it and He will protect us and keep us safe. As I have thought and reflected about things, the only thing that really matters right now is that we can provide food and shelter for Kaylee and that our little family is together. If we loose everything, it'll be okay... it's all just stuff that can be replaced. It's easier said than done, but it'll all work out. I know it will. It has to. Please pray for us. We love you all and wish you the best during this time of turmoil in the world we live in. Love the Pulsiphers

Pictures of Kaylee
We had some pictures taken in July of Kaylee and a couple family ones, but I haven't done anything with them. I am really bad about printing pictures or anything of that sorts since they are all digital. I need to figure out a method though so I can have physical pictures in case something ever happens to our cds. Anyways, here are some pictures that I thought were cute. My favorite ones are the ones of Kaylee and the flowers. (Oh, there aren't too many of Kaylee smiling because she wasn't feeling very well... she had a high fever that night!)
