Playing in the Rain

We were over at my parent's house on a Sunday afternoon and it started to rain. We went to the door to watch the rain, but before I knew it, Kaylee was running around and playing in it. She was having so much fun and we had to force her to go inside because she was shivering!

Kaylee and Dr. Pepper

Unfortunately, Kaylee loves soda especially her dad's Dr. Pepper. We were packing to go camping and she opened the ice chest and got herself a soda. Fortunately, she can't open it herself. These pictures were just too cute!

Never Ending Yardwork

Over the 4th of July, we worked on trenching our backyard to put in a french drain, which helps get the water away from your house and out to the road or wherever.

While we had the bobcat, Kris also went up on the hill in the backyard to try to level it out a little bit before we finish putting our fence up.

He seemed to be having just a little too much fun!

Kaylee was being a helper too. She had seen other people do this, so she figured she would give it a try! Too cute!

She loves carrying buckets around. Sometimes she will put things in it, but most of the time, she just carries them.
We recently had a friend of the family extend our driveway. It will be nice for resale of the house and also if we ever have a trailer/RV... in the future. It also just allows for extra parking, which is especially nice since we live right by Green Valley Park where they do the fireworks and all sorts of other activities.

This section of the concrete had a big crack in it so the builder paid to have it replaced.

The driveway is done but I haven't taken a picture of it yet. It looks good!

We still have a lot to work to do, such as putting in plants, lining the driveway with castle stone, adjusting the fence... but it all takes time and money. The backyard is another story!

Motocross in Payson

In June, we went to a motocross event in Payson. I told Kris he could go by himself because I wasn't going to pay to chase a 1 year old around and not get to watch. However, we found out that there was a practice one night that was free, so we decided to go and watch. I was quite skeptical of what I would think but it actually was kind of fun. Kaylee really like it for a little while too. She just sat and watched. The pictures are blurry because they rode by so fast. It was fun though. Of course Kris wants to go to a professional event now!

There were so many people on the track that I'm not sure how they kept from constantly wrecking into each other. It was really noisy!

Camping with the Webbs in July

For those of you who missed the camping trip with Grandma and Grandpa Webb, you really missed out! We had so much fun!

On our way to the Rim, this is what we saw. We had pulled over a few minutes before as emergency vehicles passed us. Then we found out why. It was crazy to see this truck on fire.

As we drove by on the opposite side of the road, I had my window down and couldn't believe the amount of heat this put off. It was a sight to see.

Shauna and Kaylee in Kris' truck- Kaylee loves to drive but in this case, was having fun with her Aunt Shauna. I'm not sure whose idea it was to make faces on the window or who was having more fun! Just kidding.
Shauna and Kaylee in Grandpa Curtis' truck. Kaylee likes to play outside but since it was raining on this day and we made her stay under the canopy, she figured she'd rather play in the truck.

While we were camping, it was Kris' birthday. I thought I snuck a cake mix and icing to make for him, but I think he discovered it amongst the food. It was fun anyways to bake him a cake in Grandma and Grandpa's trailer and then sing to him. He turned 26!

Can you guess who is feeding Kaylee that huge bite of cake?! If you said Grandpa Webb, you're right. That's what grandpas are good at. That's okay though and I know Kaylee didn't mind one bit!

Here is Kaylee and Vilate, one of their "adopted" grandkids (I'm not sure how her name is spelled! Sorry!). They were enjoying the campfire in chairs just their size!
Is Uncle Ray talking to Grandpa Webb or sleeping? Just kidding. It was chilly so we had a fire going most of the time we were there. It was nice to sit around and visit with each other and play some games, too.

Brittany and Kaylee- Kaylee suddenly started liking glasses, left them on, and had to wear them on several different occasions.

This was in the truck on the way to go camping.

Kaylee's glasses weren't fun anymore so she had to give mom's a try, too. She was a little sleepy!

One of Kaylee's favorite activities in the mountains was riding quads. Often times, this is how the ride ended... asleep. However, as soon as we would turn the quad off and get off with her, she would wake right up! Silly girl! I guess the noise and the bumpy road was just relaxing.

Of course her Aunt Shauna and Katelyn didn't mind taking her on rides.

Kaylee and Grandma Curtis- asleep again!

Kaylee and Grandpa Curtis- asleep once again but this time with her hat over her face!

And when Kaylee wasn't riding the quad but someone else was, she patiently waited by the road for her turn. The quads in the distance weren't even from our camp but Kaylee didn't care, she wanted a ride!

Diamondbacks Game in July

I know this happened several months ago but our Internet wasn't working and then our computer wasn't working and then I started babysitting and don't have a lot of time to myself anymore.

Kris and I were able to go to a Diamondbacks game in July by ourselves. We aren't very good about going on dates but we really need to do better. We had awesome seats! Kris' parents gave him the tickets and then my parents watched Kaylee. She stayed the night with them since it was a late game and wasn't excited when I came to pick her up. She wanted to stay and play at grandma's house.

This was zoomed in with my camera, which doesn't have a very good zoom. Brittany and Kris

It was fun to go on a date and have some time with just the two of us. Thanks mom and dad Pulsipher for the tickets and thanks mom and dad Curtis for watching Kaylee.

More time...

Nap time is over but I have some more changes to make... it'll just have to wait. I haven't gotten everything how I want it yet, but I'll work on it more later.

Craziness

I am in the process of trying to get my pictures onto the computer so I can post some new ones. We have been busy but good. Kaylee is now 16 months old and into everything. Things that I thought we "child-proof" are definitely not! Kris has been busy with work trying to get projects done. He has had a ton of overtime the past couple of weeks, which is nice but also hard. He hasn't come home until 9 or so... so when he gets home Kaylee is ready to play with daddy, not go to bed. She has such a fun personality and we love her to pieces! Needless to say, we have had some pretty late nights and early mornings. I keep thinking that everything will slow down, but I don't think that is ever going to happen.

To add to our craziness, I started babysitting at the beginning of August just for a little extra. I wasn't planning on doing it full-time or have very many kids. Well, I now have 4 kids (and Kaylee) and have them various times throughout the week. It hasn't been too bad. I miss my freedom to go and do sometimes, but oh well. Kaylee loves having friends to play with everyday. Well, I have a 20 month old on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from about 8 am to 4 pm. Then, I have two girls who are sisters, a 3 year old and a 14 month old. I have them various times throughout the week and their schedule changes from week to week. I've only had them on average about 15 hours a week. Then, last week, I just started watching an 8 month old little girl. So far, I've had her 30 hours a week. She is a really happy and good baby, a lot like Kaylee was when she was that age. Ironically, all of the people whose kids I have grew up in Payson. (I am only able to do this right now because it's nap time and all 4 kids are sleeping... that's almost a miracle in and of itself!)

We have also been working in our yard and trying to get it looking nice. We've lived in Payson for 16 months and our yard is one of those never ending projects. We just had someone extend our driveway so now we have some extra parking and it looks really nice too!

So, between Kris' work, babysitting, yard work, chasing around a 16 month old, our callings at church, hanging out with family and some friends... we have stayed busy. It's taken us a while but we are finally starting to enjoy living in Payson and getting more and more settled.
